Sera Koi Professional Color

Sera, made in Germany, is a functional food for perfect colors and healthy growth.

Appropriate nutrition is required for optimizing the splendid colors of the Koi. An adequate amount of spirulina micro algae in the food supports the color saturation and intensification as well as the clear separation of the color zones. White areas appear bright without an annoying yellowish tint.

Spirulina has a protein amount of over 50%, contains all essential amino acids as well as many unsaturated fatty acids. Furthermore, the algae contain numerous vitamins and minerals. Astaxanthin, for example, enhances the colors, especially in red areas. Astaxanthin is a pigment similar to vitamins, strengthens the immune system, is an antioxidant and supports fertility. Only the natural, highly bioavailable variant of astaxanthin is used for sera food. sera uses mainly Haematococcus algae as a source (60.5 mg astaxanthin per kg food). However, ingredients such as krill and spirulina also contribute to the supply of astaxanthin and other important pigments.

Koi Professional Color consists of two components: the food loop and the food core. This is achieved by using the special manufacturing process of co-extrusion, which allows combining ingredients that have been treated differently. The loop contains high quality natural ingredients such as spirulina and Haematococcus for unique colors and an appropriate diet. The core consists, among others, of essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements for healthy growth and a strong immune system.

The color food can be fed throughout the year above 8°C (46°F) water temperature.
